The Human Resources Department ensures effective selection, development and retention of the City's workforce. This includes:

  • Policy and procedure development
  • Recruitment
  • Salary and fringe benefit administration
  • Testing and selection

Additional services include:

  • Administration of the City's workers' compensation program
  • Administration of recognition and incentive programs
  • Coordination of citywide training and development programs
  • Development and administration of internships and school to work programs
  • Development and administration of workplace safety and loss control programs
  • Employee relations
  • Property and liability claims management
